I received the final packages of blocks today for our Half Log Cabin Challenge. Big thank-yous to to Sharon, Evelyn, and Brenda for supporting this project with their bright fun blocks! I'll be assembling these blocks into a cheerful comfort quilt for an adult at our domestic violence shelter.
I also received a bonus package from Julianne, containing a happy assortment of 9-patch blocks. These will also be used to make comfort quilts for kids at the Doves shelter. I'll post photos here of all the quilts as they develop.
It warms my heart, at this time when we're all saddened by the senseless violence in Boston, to have received all these blocks. Thank you all for your generosity and kindness!

they'll make beautiful quilts!
ReplyDeleteThey will make a really cheerful quilt. It's very cool to see how the wonky strips and the straight strips can all play together.
ReplyDeleteAmy over at The Calico Cat shared a wonderful post about "helpers" in times of challenge or tragedy. These happy quilts surely qualify!!
