String quilts

How is your week going?I had lots of fun with my strings. I finished and washed the Butterfly String quilt.
I love washed crinkled quilts. The picture below is before I washed it.
Quilt hot out of the dryer.

I quilted my blue, yellow and green string quilt. I am so happy with how the quilting turned out.
 Blue and yellow scrappy backing.
Happy quilting,
Millie

Did you use cotton batting in this?

  2. Thanks Mystic Quilter. Yes, I used 100% cotton batting on this one. I wash my quilts in the washing machine and throw them in the dryer. I know it it is a big "no no" but I like my quilts crinkled. lol

  4. Oh Millie--I think your butterfly quilt is just lovely. Do you quit on a regular machine or longarm--your quilting looks terrific...hugs, Julierose

  8. What lovely quilts. I do like quilts with white background. Yours are particularly delightful - more white than stripes. Great idea!
