Vintage String Quilts

I took these photos at our local quilt show this past October, and I thought you might like to see them here.  I have more explanations and photos on my blog Indigo Threads.




Both of these quilts had older quilts inside as the "batting".  They are very heavy quilts.  I think these qualify as pretty much the ultimate in scrap quilting!

    What fun. My mother had some scrap quilts with older spreads as batting. I guess this was more common than i realized.
