I quilted this top in a single spiral on my home machine. It's easy to do although I didn't hold my hands properly. The package should be held to offset the natural tendency to stretch on the bias and I didn't do that.

Lovin' this!
Oh, very beautiful! Thanks for sharing.
Your quilted String Quilt looks great. Very impressed with your quilted spiral. Well done!
Ih ave done one spiral quilt and I like the texture a lot. LOVE the neutral strings in your quilt!
Gorgeous finish Ann! I have never tried spiral quilting. I guess I am too afraid of machine quilting. Love how it creates secondary layer on the quilt.
Thanks, everyone. I plan to use the spiral again. It is really easy, just need to remember to hold the quilt sandwich '"squared up" so the design doesn't pull on the bias. I only marked the first couple of rounds, then used my walking foot to eyeball the spacing.
I love the quilt, and thanks for the tip on spiral quilting. Must try it some time, but I have been scared. Maybe I'll work up my courage.
I love neutrals! What a gorgeous strip quilt idea. I'm going to put my neutral scraps aside and do this.
