Medallion Strings

This is the final quilt I made to clear out my scrap bin: a medallion Chinese Coins/piano keys/strings. Take your choice. It's interesting to see the crossover of names.

CCIV: Medallion

More information here. Now to start filling that bag again.

Enjoy the day, Ann

Thanks for commenting, Terri and Julierose.
My bag fills so quickly but it's very small. When I can't close it, it reminds me to stop and make some baby quilts. I always admire people who sort their scraps and cut them to special sizes for storage but I can't ever do that. I'd spend all my time organizing the scraps. Besides, I don't have much space and must prioritize. These aren't always great but they are extremely useful since I know so many young people with small children.

Thank you for sharing your 'process'. I love the finished quilt, the way you have contrasted the lighter and darker piano keys borders is perfect. Such a lot to look at, great for a Baby quilt.

Oh I do love this Ann! A true scrap quilt, different width borders - lovely - and the colours in your stripped fabrics pick up the colours in the centre floral square.

Fantastic use of those scraps. I really like how you sorted the light from the dark. Great job!

I love scrap quilts . . . so many colors and patterns. They just make me happy and when you're all wrapped up in one there is so much to look at. I get lost in the charm and enchantment of them. It's better than counting sheep :)
Have a marvelous day!
Connie :)
