Pineapple Passion

Well I am still working slowly away on my pineapple which I posted about a few weeks ago - my progress has been slow due to hand surgery, but below five more blocks pinned to my design wall, not very straight I'm afraid, hopefully get on with number six today and then sew them up, that will make two sets of six and I will do QAYG six blocks at a time, I certainly can't tackle quilting a large quilt. I hope to put this in the city Guild show in November - fingers crossed. Still not decided how large it should be !!

I am pleased that I decided to use my older fabrics in this quilt they certainly give a softer old-fashoned feel.

You are right about your fabric choices. The larger prints here and there are great texture. I tend to use all tone on tones and it gets a bit mushy. The pineapple is one of my bucket list quilts... I better start one soon.

Your pineapple blocks are lovely. I like the older prints and the way you put them together is wonderful. I love string quilts so I am going to follow your blog!
