Purple strings fit for a little girl

I finally finished this little quilt this week. I have had tendonitis in my shoulder so a friend quilted the quilt and I added the binding. The strings feature dancing cows and pigs and were scraps another friend gave me. I do love the rectangular block for making strings with the resulting diamond shape.  This will be a donation quilt for my local Scrap Bag group. Joanne

I like the way the blue-ish purple frames the diamonds. Great job!!

Great finish here, and I hope you feel better soon.

Foundation pieced rectangles?

When using rectangles for the foundation the key thing to remember is that half the centre strings lean left and half lean right. You have to do that to get the diamond shape when you assemble the blocks. Joanne
