The Spotted Winkel

This is my newly-completed quilt top
for the current Ad Hoc Improv Quilters'
Playing With Scale challenge.

Inspired by my grandson's Winkel baby toy,
it features lot and lots of string pieced circles.

You certainly pulled off pulling together so many colors and strings into a cohesive, lively composition. Congratulations! And it is fun, too.

Thanks so much, Linda -- it was a lot of fun to design and edit along the way. Looking forward now to quilting it next week!

Posting this quilt here is fabulous. Such a lively way to use strings and what fun for us all to consider what else we can do to change our habits. One of my favorite quilts; it just sings.

It's wonderful! Even the background is a design in scales.
