Neutral Strings

These were absolutely the last of the string blocks. Knowing all the colorful ones were gone, I didn't have much hope for them. How wrong I am.

Brown, white, and black string quilt top

I may like this one best of all. More details on my blog.

I like it ! I like it alot ! You've got the old brain spinning in my head. I need to just start piecing some of these blocks without trying to plan the whole quilt. What a wonderful 'leftovers' quilt !

I have always loved the neutrals all together. It is a sophisticated combination.

Never under estimate a pile of scraps.

I never get tired of seeing beautiful strings in a gorgeous top like this!

Thank you again for all the kind comments. I've made many string quilts but never sorted scrapbag strings strictly by color. It's worked better than I imagined. This one was the most surprising of all: the dregs of the blocks that were leftovers to begin. The swash zone. Who'd have thought.

These blocks are too cool. String blocks are so much fun because you never know what you're going to get. It's a surprise every time!!!
