Lost in String Land

I spent some quality time with my Bernina this week . . .

stitching together a large pile of 1.5" strings.

(pre-shortened to 15" lengths)

After more quality time with my iron,
it was time to trim the foundation-free
strip sets into twenty-four 8.5" squares.

Delightful! I especially like the way your pieced the longer strings.

I love strings too. So fun to make and a great way to use up scraps.

I've worked with strips that thin only once; I can't imagine doing that many blocks, but I bet it's going to be awesome! Now I have to hop over to your linked post to see the rest of the story...

Nice strings! But oh so narrow! They are going to look fantastic.

Love your string blocks, visited your blog and love the combination of the paper pieced birds with the strings.
