Hello....

I could resist no longer. I've been reading along as the string blocks have been coming in and I just can't stand it anymore! So...
These are my string blocks so far. My quilt is going to be of plaids. Some recycled from shirts and some from yardage. I'm piecing onto a fabric foundation and my blocks are 8.5". I don't have many actual strings of plaid, so I am creating them as I go.

welcome to the string thing along! I like the colours in your plaids. is your fabric foundation the same size of your blocks, or slightly smaller to avoid the seam allowances?

Love your plaid string blocks Finn. Lots of great fabrics there.

Those plaids look so nice! Gives me an idea - I just think my plaids are a little more muted.

Very sharp looking. Sometimes you just have to give into temptation. Joanne

Hey Finn, nice to see you over here in a new place! You are saying you don't have STRINGS of plaid, not that you don't have plaid fabric, right?

You are making think I will be looking in my box of plaids soon.

How fun to use the plaids! I'm a big fan of recycling from plaid shirts (still have quite a few in my stash). Your blocks are looking great. I really like that bright pop of orange amongst the cooler colors.
