My "Cobweb" Quilt Top

Rhonda, I wish I had your ruler!  I found this pattern called "Cobweb" in an old block pattern book and reproduced it on EQ, making myself paper foundation patterns.  I used feed sack scraps and solids (can you see where I ran a little short on the green?)  It's "next up" in my list of things to quilt, so you'll see it again when it's finished!

That is really great! I love the kite shaped strings and the pattern it makes when it's all put together. The feed sack scraps and solids are perfect together. I really had to look closely to see where ran short of the green, but very clever substitution.

I actually love that you ran short of green -- adding those few blades of blue really adds to the quilt's charm!

Very nice indeed!!!!

Your quilt looks great. The fabrics you used are so much like the fabrics my grandma used. And I love the borders.... that pop of red really works well!!! What's the final measurement??

The cobweb quilt top is approx. 38" x 52". The size was dictated by the amount of feed sack scraps in a bag that I bought at a quilt show a couple of years ago. I was lucky enough to own a few whole feed sacks and that is where the border came from.
